I found what appears to be a mistake in the solution to puzzle #37 in the Feb. 2009 issue of Original Logic Problems (Cold Pack).
One sentence in the reads "Mercer didn't get 2, 3 or 5 inches of snow -- it received 4 inches."
The very next sentence begins "The temperature in Mercer, which got 6 inches of snow..."
Huh?

Thank you for your posting. You are correct; there is a typo in the solution. It should read: "Mercer didn't get 2, 3, or 5 inches of snow (1); it received 4 inches, so Tomahawk got 2 inches of snow (1). The temperature in Wabeno, which got 6 inches of snow..." As you can see, we typed Mercer in that second sentence, when we meant to type Wabeno. Fortunately, this error does not affect the solve of the puzzle itself.
We regret this error, and the inconvenience it caused. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
