I have a subscription to Crossword Special that is now lapsing. I had subscribed about a year ago, because it was difficult to find Special on the newsstand here. I love the variety and balance between puzzles, and the clever covers. It is the first puzzle magazine of yours that I started solving, around 1999. Well, I subscribed, and was very disappointed to find that most of the time it would arrive with the cover ripped completely off, and many of the pages ripped. This happened consistently. I wrote to Dell when one issue was completely shredded, and they did send me a replacement copy. What I wonder is, why not put a plastic wrapper on it? If you would do that, I'd probably subscribe again. Otherwise, it's more expedient to get magazines occasionally from the store, intact.
