In the Fun to Solve Dell puzzle book for June 2010 Puzzle 33 for five down, the answer to the clue foot specialist is poet. I do not get it. Help.

I haven't seen that puzzle, but the missing information is probably that "foot" has a special meaning in poetry. A metric foot is a set of syllables, a unit of rhythm. Look up "metric foot"--you'll find explanations better than I could give.

I looked it up as suggested. Here is the answer. In verse, many meters use a foot as the basic unit in their description of the underlying rhythm of a poem. Thanks!
