Hello, teachers!

Students who've been assigned logic puzzles regularly turn up at this forum, saying they need the solutions. Invariably, they don't give the title of the magazine. Sometimes they have stories like "I seem to have misplaced the answer sheet." Of course, they don't identify themselves as students.

May I suggest that, when copying a puzzle for a class, you blank out "Penny Press Means Puzzle Pleasure" and the date? Then fewer kids will find their way to these forums for help with a task they know they should be doing on their own.

LOL! I got started on logic problems & penny press in general thanks to my 8th grade algebra teacher! But that was prior to the internet being in every house. Logic problems seem like fun homework to me!

I agree with you, Rocky. I don't think they had such problems, or at least such magazines, when I was in high school. But it's a great way to learn
how to think.

Methinks that "dvd" person up there joined the forum just to drop links onto it. Spam, wonderful spam!

These DVD spammers have been here before, and like the last times, wait until Friday evening, in case administrators/moderators don't work on the weekends, then the spam can stay up longer. And now with a holiday on Monday, maybe they get an extra 24 hours. All the "posts" have been plucked from those of Amy, for whatever reason.

Some spammers get paid only for links that stay on a board long enough.

Oh, so I'm popular enough to steal from -- whatever! Should I be flattered, or should I apologize to everyone?

It's not your fault, no apology necessary. They need to get a life! CC
