In honor of the Fourth of July, I thought I'd post this quotation from an Anacrostic I completed yesterday. I feel it's something every American really should know. LOL

"James Madison was the first chief executive to wear pants. The first three presidents wore knee breeches. The fashion was begun by French revolutionaries who used pants as one way to differentiate themselves from the Royalists. Sympathetic Americans adopted the style."

Happy Fourth, Everyone! smile

You're welcome, Amy. I thought it was interesting, too!

I had to laugh after solving the puzzle, though. Sometimes I will come up with some very strange sentences when trying to decipher an anacrostic, and about halfway through solving this one I had the two "pants" correctly filled in, and incorrectly thought this was also the first word of the quote (the "a" and "s" being in the same location). When I realized the first word was actually "James", and then Madison afterwards I was sure I'd have to go back and change both of the "pants." So I was thrilled when the answer turned out to be about James Madison and his pants! LOL! wink
