If 4 people had Lire and 2 had Krugerands but there are only 12 selections total how can all 9 currencies be used at least once?

Am I reading the clues wrong or is Pupura the Senior member? Thanks, Lynda

It's barely possible that someone who follows this forum has a copy of the particular five-year-old magazine. To identify it, could you give the title of the magazine, not just the title of the puzzle? Otherwise, if you type the whole introduction and all the clues here, you may get some help. We really can't tell who Pupura is without the complete set of information.

This problem was in The August 2012 issue of original logic problems and is called Currency Events but after reading it several times I managed to figure it out on my own. Thanks anyway. Lynda
