I enjoy doing the challengers (16 squares). Everything else is too easy. Where can I get books with just these puzzles in it?

I am just starting to learn how to do the Super Challengers. Any suggestions on the best strategy for doing these. The 16 numbers seems a little overwhelming right now. Thanks

Yes, please - I am stuck on a Super CHallenger at the moment and need some strategy tips. I have about 11 squares filled in but can't go any farther.

I enjoy doing Sudoky puzzles! In fact so much so,I find it helps me calm down!LOL. I am a hoarder & stuff has to be kept in the same place. So when things get overwhelming I turn to my Sudoku puzzles. I love working with numbers. I also have OCD, so the numbers come out there too. I found that I go thru the whole book(not all at once of course) & work on other Sudoku puzzle books & then get back to the original & keep going over & over learning new techniques & also working my way up from easy-medium-hard-challenger-super challenger( of which I have never gotten very far with those ones.LOL!!!!!! I need help with challenger puzzles & up! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

I know exactly what you mean Bijit02!! I tend to be a worry wart and a germaphobe and find that doing puzzles relaxes me! If I'm trying to solve a puzzle there's really no room to be worrying about something. It's nice to meet another puzzler who finds a kind of sanctuary in puzzles like I do! smile

I've just recently started with the Sudoku Challenger but haven't finished a puzzle yet! I agree they can be overwhelming with so many numbers to keep track of.

Thanks for bumping that thread TDHO! I don't normally deal with the diagnols when solving sudoku puzzles, unless it's a variant, so that will be something I'll pay closer attention to.

I hope you didn't think I meant that for ALL sudoku, Purps. Just specifically the Challengers. And that extreme sudoku variant. In the latter, it just makes it easier for me, not more extreme, but maybe it doesn't, and I'm just claiming bravado? Dunno.

With Challenger sudoku, it really comes in handy if you're stuck and one of those 8 boxes that involve the diagonals can get you to a tipping point.

With extreme sudoku, in my eyes, with only 9 boxes and having that extra line only aids in solving, not making it more difficult or extreme. Just one man's opinion.

TDHO your next issue of M&LP should be coming soon, I just got mine Saturday!

I enjoy the Jigsaw Sudoku too Bernadette! Nothing against regular Sudoku, but it's nice to have the different varieties.
