I have found alternate solutions for both mazes (p50). This wasn't something that I thought was allowed (or has even happened in previous editions of the magazine).

Thank you both for posting and for letting us know about your findings. There was likely an error in this puzzle, for which we apologize. We would appreciate it if either of you could post your alternate solutions here or send them to us so that we can figure out what happened. Thanks again for writing, and we hope you continue to enjoy our puzzles!

I also found alternate solutions for both. I tried to attach photos of my solutions, but the attach files functionality doesn't seem to work. So I'll try to explain my answer using the notation (Row, Column) with the starting box as (1,1). [Using the actual digits on the rows and columns seemed to be more confusing, due to duplicates.]

Maze 1: (1,1), (2,1), (3,1), (3,2), (3,3), (3,4), (3,5), (2,5), (1,5), (1,6), (1,7), (1,8), (2,8), (3,8), (3,7), (3,6), (4,6), (5,6), (5,7), (5,8), (6,8), (7,8), (7,7), (6,7), (6,6), (7,6), (7,5), (7,4), (7,3), (7,2), (8,2), (8,3), (8,4), (8,5), (8,6), (8,7), (8,8), (8,9), (7,9), (6,9), (6,10), (7,10), (8,10)

Maze 2: (1,1), (2,1), (2,2), (1,2), (1,3), (1,4), (1,5), (1,6), (1,7), (1,8), (1,9), (1,10), (1,11), (2,11), (2,10), (2,9), (2,8), (2,7), (2,6), (2,5), (2,4), (3,4), (3,3), (3,2), (4,2), (5,2), (6,2), (7,2), (8,2), (9,2), (9,3), (9,4), (8,4), (7,4), (6,4), (6,3), (5,3), (5,4), (5,5), (6,5), (7,5), (7,6), (6,6), (5,6), (4,6), (4,7), (5,7), (6,7), (7,7), (7,8), (6,8), (6,9), (7,9), (8,9), (8,10), (8,11), (7,11), (6,11)

Hopefully I didn't make any mistakes entering that. The photos really would've been easier. If the functionality is there, and I just did it wrong, please let me know what to do and I'll post the photos (which would also be easier for you in figuring out what went wrong).

Just noticed this from 7 years ago. What else to do on a snowy day. Nice job jfire writing out the solution.

I wonder if anyone at Dell tried to follow it. Would have been simpler for them to solve the puzzle and discover the alternative solution themselves.

I worked through the March 2011 issue (from a 2014 value pack) over Christmas and also got alternate solutions.
