"Out and Around," Math & Logic Problems July 2012 (page 52) seems to be unsolvable. Clue 3-11 says "This number is the product of two different single digits." No such number works here that is consistent with the other clues in the puzzle. The answer listed in the back for this clue is 52, which cannot be expressed as the product of two different single digits; card players know that 52 = 4 x 13.

I'm hoping the Dell staff will let you know about this puzzle. After reading your post I looked at the puzzle in question, having never done one of them before, and it looks tough!! Tougher than the Figure Logics. I'm holding off trying to solve it in case there is in fact a mistake.

I got same thing. Clue 3-11 is wrong. The product is 13 X 4 and 13 is a prime number. That why I unable to solve this.

Clue 3-11 should say "A Multiple of 13". This would be a correct clue.

We apologize, as there was indeed a mistake in Out and Around. Clue 3-11 should have read "A square reversed," the same as clue 1-9. In some way, the correct clue didn't get typed in, and we take full blame on this one. The error bypassed both the editor and proofreader. We are very sorry that it occurred, and for any inconvenience it may have caused you, our solvers. We hope that it didn't decrease your enjoyment too much!
