Is anybody else feeling the same as me? Isn't it time Dell Logic Problems ditched the interminably dull and mind-numbingly trite puzzles about those planets and aliens that start with Arnoz and end with Iltor? Every edition seems to feature them and it has gotten to the point where I quickly skip over the puzzle in question for fear of (a) falling asleep while doing it or (b) evoking feelings of ire that Dell has once again agreed to publish another in the saga. I'm sure the creator, Evelyn B. Rosenthal, is a wonderful person with a full life and vibrant personality but she really does need to move on in her life. Ditch the wacky sounding aliens and planets and think up a new scenario, Evelyn, else the "B" in your name start resounding with that awful word all logic puzzle enthusiasts despise -- "boring".

Lots of love

Nope, not feeling the same here. It's a warm feeling to return to my "friends" each issue, as I do with Dominoes and Dicey Words.

I'm actually a little awed that Evelyn Rosenthal continues to find unique twists each time she composes another Iltor puzzle. Definitely not the easiest thing to do, but she's a real master as far as I'm concerned. The names may be the same, but the puzzles are always different and challenging.

Imagine my horror to discover, upon delving further into the magazine, there were not one but THREE (count 'em) icky Iltorian idiocies to be completed. I am praying that the February issue of Logic Problems has dispensed of this planetary system that plays so much needless havoc with my sensibility. Evelyn, let's think up a scenario where the planets get swallowed up by a black hole, can we? For example: "Arnoz was swallowed up for eternity before, but not directly before, Bleeb," etc. In that way you dispense of the planets with dignity and move onto something a little more compelling.

Your ardent fan,
