Hi! I used to be fond of a type of puzzle that was in either PP or Dell variety books as well as its own special collections. A saying, such as "A rolling stone gathers no moss" was broken into a grid of boxes with spaces blacked out. The letters were printed in vertical columns under the grid and had to be sorted out to their boxes to recreate the saying. Can anybody tell me what these puzzles were?

Thanks!
